About Us:
Carbon Fiber Racing only manufactures using prepreg (dry) carbon fiber and the best CF production technologies available! The result is truly a superior product.
Carbon Fiber Racing was founded with one purpose in mind, to centralize elite Motorsport carbon fiber products into a single location. We provide carbon fiber enthusiasts like yourself simple access to an extensive line of CF products. Our selection of carbon fiber products include everything you will need to engineer the perfect lightweight, high quality racing machine!
Carbon Fiber Racing prides itself on providing our customers with every possible carbon fiber, carbon fiber/fiberglass, and impressions Motorsport product we can get our hands on... if we do not carry it, please let us know! Due to its magnificent design, high tensile strength, low weight, and low thermal expansion these products can significantly increase the appearance and reduce the weight of any vehicle! Feel free to contact us at our inbox for additional inquiries.
What is Carbon Fiber:
Carbon fiber is a very strong, light weight material which has become widely used in automotive, marine, and other Motorsport applications. It's key attribute is to significantly reduce weight ultimately decreasing track and quarter mile times. Carbon fiber can also be woven with fiberglass, Kevlar, and other materials in order to create color carbon.
Carbon fiber is also known as graphite fiber, carbon graphite, and CF. It is a material consisting of extremely thin fibers (approximately 0.005-0.010 mm in diameter) and composed mainly of carbon atoms. The carbon atoms are bonded together in microscopic crystals that are more or less aligned parallel to the long axis of the fiber. The crystal alignment makes the fiber very strong for its size. Several thousand carbon fibers are twisted together to form a yarn, which may be used by itself or woven into a fabric.
Carbon fiber has many different weave patterns and can be combined with a plastic resin and wound or molded to form composite materials such as carbon fiber reinforced plastic (also referenced as carbon fiber) to provide a high strength-to-weight ratio material. The density of carbon fiber is also considerably lower than the density of steel., making it truly ideal for applications requiring low weight. The properties of carbon fiber such as high tensile strength, low weight, and low thermal expansion make it incredibly popular in all Motorsport applications.
